Further reading for your reflections on animal cruelty

Assignment: Write a personal reflection of your views on animal cruelty. (Wednesday)
Outline:
-Define what is animal cruelty/ What do you think animal cruelty is all about. (1 small paragraph)
-What is happening in the world around us on animal cruelty. Facts and figures (numbers/ statistics) (1-2 paragraphs)
****-What are your views on animal cruelty. How would you feel if you are the animal. (1 paragraph)**** (Then how about killing of animals for food? Is that considered cruelty? Why and why not?)
****-What can you and your friends do to prevent and stop animal cruelty. (1 paragraph)****

Here are some good sources of debates about animal cruelty. Are we right or wrong to kill them for food? Should they be given the freedom to live? If so, then what should humans feed on to survive? How can we keep the balance between having enough food and yet be humane towards the animals?
